La Gemma Dell Est is situated on the northwest coast of Zanzibar looking out over the amazing Nungwi beach. La Gemma overlooks the immaculate waters of the Indian Ocean. Zanzibar's brilliant white beaches offer the ideal place to relax, soak up the sun and take a break from some busy sightseeing.

La Gemma Zanzibar offers guests 138 deluxe rooms, including 17 junior suites, 23 executive villa guest rooms and a presidential villa, all of them fitted with French-windows opening onto a private terrace with a view overlooking the sea. There is an outdoor swimming pool with a Jacuzzi, evening entertainment, dive and water sports centre and one of Zanzibar's finest stretches of beaches.

Diamonds La Gemma rooms offer king size or twin beds with a mosquito net, individual air-conditioning, ceiling fan, a direct line telephone, satellite TV, a mini fridge and a safe. The en-suite marble bathrooms include walk-in shower, fine toiletries and bath robes. A la Carte dining is offered in the evenings at over-water restaurant, while the main restaurant serves buffet meals. There is a beach bar and a lobby bar.
