On arrival, meet and transfer to the hotel. Our guide will take you for a relaxed walk along the Wangfujing Pedestrian Shopping Street. Wangfujing Street is one of the major shopping streets in Beijing and it ends up at Chang'An Avenue, the main street of Beijing. Enjoy dinner at Fangshan Restaurant (serving imperial cuisine), the former Imperial Kitchen inside the Winter Palace Day 02 - Beijing (B,D) Today, we visit the Imperial Palace also known as The Forbidden City. The 250-acre palace was the residence of former emperors with entry forbidden to all commoners. We then, will proceed to Tiananmen Square, the world's largest plaza and the Temple of Heaven, a masterpiece of 15th century architecture, built according to the most advanced principles of mechanics and geometry available at time. Onto Hongqiao Bazaar, located in the South of Beijing and famous for its rich collection of fresh water pearls, toys, clothing, etc. Enjoy dinner at Rear Sea Restaurant and after dinner stroll around the 'bar street' of Beijing Day 03 - Beijing ( B,D) We'll explore the famous Great Wall of China. Constructed some 2,300 years ago and extending over 4,000 miles, it was one of the few landmarks on earth clearly viewed by the astronauts. Continue our tour to visit the Ming Tombs where the emperors and their consorts were laid to rest. Tonight, enjoy traditional Peking duck dinner at Quanjude Restaurant and taste the Number One local dish Day 04 - Beijing / Shanghai(B,D) Before we leave the capital of China, we would like to introduce you to the Summer Palace, a breathtaking arrangement of lake and landscape, pagodas and pavilions. A boat ride on the Kunming Lake inside the palace, which was ordered to be built by using the fund planned to build the Chinese navy in the 1900s. Transfer to airport for your flight to Shanghai, China's largest city and the gateway through which modern life entered China. On your arrival you will be met and transfered to your hotel. Shanghai is an exciting place! Our first introduction of Shanghai is the Bund (also named Shanghai Harbour), the former foreign settlement, ranged along with imposing buildings of the colonial period. You do not want to miss the SHANGHAI BY NIGHT tour: take a ferry across Pujiang River (Yangtze River Mouth) and enjoy a panoramic view of Shanghai atop Jingmao Building (Grand Hyatt, the highest hotel in the world) and dinner at a restaurant overlooking the Shanghai Harbour Day 05 - Shanghai (B,DS) Sightseeing includes rich collections at the Shanghai Museum, the beautiful Yuyuan Garden at the 'Old Quarter' (Yuyuan Garden is surrounded by shops,stores selling all kinds of commodities / antiques including 'genuine fakes' such as Rolex watches, Gucci bags, Nike shoes, etc), and a relaxed walk along the world famous Nanjing Road (praised as the '5th Avenue of the East, with hundreds of departmental stores, window shops). Tonight, see the world famous Shanghai Acrobatic Troupe to perform at Portman Theatre Day 06 - Shanghai (B) Breakfast at hotel. Spend a day free at your own leisure Day 07 - Depart Shanghai (B) Breakfast at hotel. Morning is free at your own leisure. Transfer to 'Bullet Train' station from hotel and you will experience the world fastest train at 43km per hour (it takes 8-minute from station to the airport). Our guide will meet you at the Pudong International Airport and assist you for your check-in for the departure flight Note: One-Way air from Beijing to Shanghai on economy class is included.
